Abandonment When a parent leaves a child without enough care, supervision, support, or parental contact for an excessive period of time. Annulment The legal dissolution of a marriage. In an annulment, the marriage is treated as though it never existed. Uncontested Divorce A divorce where both parties are able to make a mutually agreed-upon arrangement. Reasonable visitation A form of visitation in which the parents work out a schedule of visitation for the non-custodial parent. Supervised visitation A form of visitation in which an adult supervisor must be present when the child is visiting with the non-custodial parent. Paternity The determination of who the father of a child is in order to arrange child custody and child support in the event of a divorce. Domestic Violence Petition This form serves as your application for a protective order; after obtaining one from the courthouse clerk, completing and returning it, it will be reviewed by a judge. Rehabilitative Alimony Rehabilitative alimony refers to alimony that is given to a spouse so that the spouse may “rehabilitate” herself or himself in the sense of acquiring greater earning power or training in order to become self-supporting. Orders of Notice Notice ordered by the court requiring the party who filed for divorce to ensure that the other party is served by a sheriff with copies of the "Petition for Divorce". Absolute divorce A divorce in which the marriage is completely dissolved and both parties become single.

	Permanent and incurable insanity is a ground for divorce. For insanity to be considered permanently incurable, a person must have been confined in a mental institution, hospital, or other institution for at least three years, and at least two physicians competent in psychiatry must testify that the insanity is permanently incurable.
